Having used an older version of FF with no problems, I've gone to 3.6.3 and now I cannot get a cursor:
- only on this forum, and
- only when I seek to post on a thread.
The cursor continues to function as normal on this forum for writing thread titles, and in all ways for sending PMs.
Unless this is part of a cunning plan by the mods to keep me from posting altogether, does anyone have an idea of how to remedy this problem?
Has anyone heard of this happening here to other FF users?

Cheers.

That anomaly has been cured in FF 3.6.4 but, in the meantime, if you select 'Standard Editor' rather than 'Advanced' all should be OK.

Thank you.
My only (I hope) other question is, "Where is this 'Standard Editor', 'Advanced' stuff?"

Ah, so: the old "rich text editor" trick.
We fogeys of olde know not these details.

Many thanks.

Not worth a new thread and almost certainly an IP Board problem, but in Firefox 4.0 the animated smileys in the reply window Emoticons box and in "preview post" all move at half speed! They work okay in completed posts though.
