This years retrospective 3 day event started this afternoon (about an hour ago )and as I understand it a certain Mr Doug Nye of this parish is a competitor driving no less than 2 cars on the event on successive days a factory Mercedes and a Jaguar XKSS.
I wonder if we have anyone else from TNF involved in the event?
Some photos would be nice .

You can click on "2010", and then "registered cars". One of them, on p. 23, is the team of Coulthard/Hakkinen in a 1952 300SL.

I believe it starts Thursday at 7:30 pm.

Having left Brescia at 3pm yesterday, I hope the competitors have all their wet weather gear as it was absolutely pouring down, with a similar forecast for the next few days.

Interesting to note that you don't need a valuable car to take part...

Looking at the weather forecast there makes me realise how lucky we were at Monaco. The threatened bad conditions did not arrive until Tuesday when there were 18 ft waves battering the harbour wall.

Doesn't it start this evening? (Edit...you mean that you left Brescia at 3 pm yesterday, not the competitors?)

The forecast I found calls for showers.

We had our own 'Mille Miglia' here in Western Canada last weekend--the 'Spring Thaw Rally'--$350 entry fee, roads as good or better than the MM, and people you could actually talk to! it was a hoot!!
