This morning I completed the 23rd and final 1958 F.2 race with my scruffy home-made slot cars.

Simply for the sake of posterity and because I know that very few people look at this section of TNF, I decided to photograph all the cars that have raced in the series, which has actually taken 2 years and 3 months to complete.

There have been a few changes. The season began with two Kiwi Equipe Coopers (black and silver) but they were repainted late on in the season - one as a second B.R.P car and the other the white Wolfgang Seidel car. Also, I had three green Lotus 12s at the start but one was 'sold' to Ecurie Hoba and painted red towards the end of the season.

Many of these cars will cease to exist soon as I build up the competitors for the new, 1959 F.2 series to run alongside the F.1 cars from the same year.

Both of these sets of vehicles will be raced alternately with the 1950-51 series that is now pretty well complete.

Sorry, I don't have TIME to get out more!
