I remember Alonso was in a funny Spanish ad a few years ago were he was talking about superstitions he had, such as never staying in a certain room number in a hotel. Can't find it on you tube though.

Wow, I just realized, that's not a commercial, that's a documentary. They're not trying to sell me anything. I kept waiting for some logo to bleed over the screen and an announcer to say something. But it's just pure love.

The slow-mo I could have done without, but at the same time it adds to the gravity of the moment.

Well done, McLaren. How do you not at least like McLaren a little bit more after watching that? And the rapport between Jenson and Lewis, there's just something cool there.

I also echo what jp said. Thanks dude and thanks McLaren for making that.

I've only seen these recent "adverts" on youtube, infact the last F1 ads i remember actually seeing on TV relating to F1 was that Ferrari/Shell advert and that one with lewis 'driving' his F1 cars through the streets (think it was a bank or vodaphone advert)

In contrast with this ad from Ferrari, the one from Ferrari has got to be the worst in history, its so bad that it is even hilarious funny. :)

That had to have been made on a budget of €5 :rotfl: :rotfl:

I understand Kimi now, why he hated the PR stuff so much. Working with idiots with no talent what so ever and have the result aired to millions of people must be very painful. The stuff he did with Montoya is no better. He is not an actor, but a good director, a good team, would work with the qualities he do have.

A young Jackie Stewart in an ad for British Rail in the '70s. Seems to be a pre-make of one of those Top Gear car vs public transport races. Jackie takes the Jeremy C role, whilst a younger, slimmer James May lets the train take the strain.

OMG this is hilarious.

Also, anyone else notice that Michael is a much better actor in his commercials recently?

Sorry to burst your bubble mate but theres a bit of subliminal messaging going on in that ad, using their phones to take each others pictures, they turn their backs to the camera a couple of times, quite blatantly, showing the vodafone on the back of their T-shirts and at one point lewis leans on the rear wing which has Mclaren written on it plus his back is to the camera which again shows Vodafone, so it reads Mclaren Vodafone, subtle but the advertising is their.
