As I mentioned in another thread a few months ago, I am in the process of restoring the prototype Elden PRH14 Supervee car. I have been lucky enough to have been lent a number of Super 8 reels showing the car racing in period, which (with a little help from Gary C), I'm transferring to DVD. I've pinned most of the meetings down, but I'm struggling with one on the Brands Club circuit in July 1975 (according to the writing on the box). Mike Young was well to the fore in the Modus, as was John Morrison in a Supernova.
I suspect that it might have been a meeting on 19th July. I know there was a Formula Atlantic race on that day. Can anyone (Sterling maybe) let me know if there was a Supervee race at the same meeting?
Thanks in advance...

Try the 5th - Rochester DMC meeting
Apparently the race-long duel was spoiled by a backmarker, who cost Morrison time
1 Mike Young (Modus)
2 John Morrison (Supernova)
3 Simon Kirby (Supernova)
4 Bruce Venn (Elden)
5 Mike Catlow (Supernova)
6 Barry Hopwood (Royale)

Thanks very much, David - that must be the one. It certainly was a close battle at the front.

No - mine is the ex Mark Litchfield car. He didn't have the best of days, running uncharacteristically in the lower midfield. I think he might even have been lapped, but I don't he was the errant backmarker who spoiled the lead battle.
Some detail on the restoration here... http://ccgi.alanmorg.......asc&start=0 It's not progressing as quickly as I would like due to the fact that the racing season is in full swing.
