Not quite sure if this is the one you look for Ed, but perhaps this'll help... It's a 1990ish McLaren from the Donington collection, anyway.

Thanks Raido,it's not,but it's still a nice pic,had'nt seen this one.Unfortunatley the MP4/6 is'nt at Donington otherwise I'd take a trip up there.

I know this is not going to be easy getting cockpit pics,I have loads of books on F1 and can't get my hands on the interior of the MP4/6 must be a closely garded secret.lol

William Taylor's book "McLaren - The Cars 1964 - 2008" (Coterie Press) has a photo on P 186, along with a load of other detail shots.

Ok I have received the Mclaren book and have seen the photo on p186,whilst it is nice and clear it's still only the steering wheel that's being shown and not the full cockpit.

I desparately require photos of the cockpit area, especially the gear knob which I think was a gold anodised style, please if anybody can help I really would appreciate photos of the cockpit area of the McLaren MP4/6,thank you.

ps I knew this was going to be a challenge, have searched google images and found nothing at all.

Had these on my hard drive, some of them might be of a 6, not taken by me just hoarded away as and when I find them on the net for another project I have on the go. Hope they are of some use.

Hmmm, great shots, but who owns them? Are they subject to any copyright? Dangerous ground here...

there are no copyright markers on them, and they were openly shown on other public websites, as thats how I came across them, but I will happily remove them if the original photographers requests that I do so.

It looks to be photos taken by Joachim Kutt, I have some of them in a page dedicated to the MP4/4 and he showed others on forums about the unique 1/20 model of the car he made. All are photos of the MP4/4.

I refer you to the thread, "Have your photographs been nicked?", especially the comments by David McKinney about photos on the web. I do not pretend to be a copyright law expert by any means, but am mindful of the pitfalls and dangers of posting other people's work. Not to say that you are wrong, just that this area can be a mine field.

Yeah, thanks for sharing Paul, they're great pics, but they're definatley from an MP4/4 as Mode's pointed out.I know for sure the MP4/6 has/had two red buttons and two green buttons on the wheel and a really nice turned gold anodised gear knob, but would love to see decent pics of it.

Thats a pity, I have hunted high and low on the net for close up bodywork off shots of marlboro versions of the Mclaren with the satin black sides and those were the only ones I have come across so far.

If you do find any can you post them up on here - copyright permitting of course

If I can get anything at all,be rest assured I will share with the forum members, but going on recent research I'm not expecting much to turn up.

I find it hard to believe the lack of photographic pitures on the MP4/6 around, considering it was an F1 car from 1991,that's less than tweny years ago!
