Tucked away on the Superleague Formula race meeting at Brands this weekend were races for Group C sportscars and Formula Junior.

Despite the big entry for the Silverstone Classic just last week there was still a healthy sized grid.

I do enjoy the Juniors and try not to miss them if possible even though this cost me £30 for the privilege... Here are a few of my photographs, I was at Clearways for the race as the high speed entry and the drop over the brow of this bend is always impressive as the drivers wrestle at the wheel.

Thanks for the photos.

I too found the meeting and watched a bit from Clearways.

The Group C was a touch disappointing in terms of number and type of cars present.

A big crash in the main race was worrying and proved the saying 'motor racing is dangerous' was apt again.

Thanks for these David they are excellent photos.I was actually in my Elva 100 FJ not the Cooper T56 stated in the programme as we have recurring engine problems with that and are hoping to rectify them before the all important Goodwood revival meeting in September..!

I don't think I've ever seen a Ram before. Thanks for those pics, David.

I had actually said to a friend in the morning that the Superleague were too fast for Brands Hatch and sadly this proved to be the case later on although it was a dangerous, sudden jink that current drivers think is acceptable that launched the innocent van der Drift into the bridge on the main straight. If you see the crash on youtube you will see what a lucky man he is to have survived.

My apologies for the mistake which I have edited. I had checked the TSL information against the programme but somehow missed this.

A couple more of the RAM for you Barry, I can't add any details about the car as there was no one with the car when I was in the paddock.
