Hi everyone,
I thought it would be nice to get some high Quality print worthy pics from some of the great historic meets we have here each year. In the spirit of sharing lets make the all the images here royality free and high quality so if people can print them out for the office wall or the shed. I personally take thousands of photos at Phillips island and Winton and would be more than happy to take requests for photos of the cars seen there. I think this could be a great oportunity for people to get some nice amatuer hero shots of their cars for free. Can't wait to see some wonderful pics guys. I think we should however say that the photos to be posted here are intended for personal use only and that they are not to be used commercially without the permission of the poster. So Bring out your best pics and get Sharing!!

All the best

Hi Clark
The Winton marshalling grid pic of Greg Smith in MG Holden shows 2 Formula Juniors -- Norm Falkiner's Stanguellini and my Nota. Any more?

Sadly I was running around this weekend with my head cut off and didn't get too many shots of the other cars as I was also running the MG Holden in Regularity and my wife had a baby boy (Curtis) 2 days before so I only got a leave pass for Saturday but here's what I have John. PS If anyone has photos of the MG in Reg 1 on Saturday that would be awesome.

Some more shots from The Phillip Island Classic. Everone loves the 5000s and it wouldn't be Phillip Island without some nasty weather.

Doesn't look like a T142...

Nor does it look like a 90... not that I've ever seen one.

No Problems John, The old Jalopys a cracker and she sounds fantastic as well. I was sad to hear Kevin Passed away earlier this year. I hope the car still makes it's regular appearances at Winton as it's a bit of a institution and certainly has some fans.

I have spent 18 years running a classic supermodified. and dont think I have ever seen those 3 cars! I thought I had ran against nearly everyone in Australia. A couple of the SA guys went to that meeting. The howling humpies have been a Victoria only thing.
Absolutely great pics. More if you have them please.

No Problems Lee,
I'd never seen speedway when I took these photos and was gob smacked. My favorite moment was watching Terry Cornelius in his midget powering through a massive slide with one hand while sheilding his eyes from the arvo sun with the other, Awesome Stuff!

I know most of them, and the blue car in the first pic has changed color. Tricked me! I should know, I was parked alongside it all night at Redline last December. There is a lot of history there, and some of those midgets have some very good history.

A variety of different body styles and engines. And eras. The 49 car is probably the oldest and is powered by a 292 Ford and the most modern is 42 which is hiding in the background and powered by an injected 340 Chrysler with W2 heads. The build periods are between 67 and 74 and even then some are fairly big dollar cars and others lo buck. Mine is the 21 powered by 202 Holden, as raced 75/76.
All of these cars have had extensive rebuilds, sometimes starting with little more than bare chassis. 97 was found in the Tennant Creek Dump, the original quick change was at Mildura and the rest was fabricated and scrounged, by the original owner. That car was Australia 1 in 1970. The no 11 was complete and the original owner said put some fresh fuel in and it will go. And it may well have though everything was pretty tired. It was as last raced mid 80s. The 30 is a replica built around the original spare front axle and a Edelbrock triple 97 manifold for the 318 Chrysler Royal engine. But the driver is original, and he still has the original towcar!
All of these cars were raced between about 67 and the early 80s. Some with success and some with none. There is a lot more around Australia wide, One Murray Bridge Classic we had 32 Supermodifieds in attendance

Hi Everyone,
A Big thanks to all those who organized the event. It's the first time I've attended the Revival and I was absolutely gob smacked with the array of cars and overall way it was run. We brought our Milano GT along for a photo shoot with Vintage race car Magazine that comes out in Feb so a big thanks to Paul Manton for getting all the Milano blokes together for the article, I reckon it must have been like herding cats so nice work. Anyway here's some pics I took on the weekend. They're all click-able thumbnails as I like to upload high res photos just in case someone wants to print them.

Cheers

A Little incident in Regularity when the White Torana dropped it's bundle after some ferocious laps. The flag point was in an awkward position and all in a moment a bunch of cars roared over the crest and where sent spinning like tops. I believe everyone got out unscathed but my bum was twitching like a rabbits nose watching it all unfold.
