Hi,
there is a few racing games on iPhone and most of them are very annoying, some are plain stupid and the rest of them is boring. But there is a couple of exceptions IMO, and one of them might be of interest for a community such as this:
DrawRace

You do not really drive, you draw the racing line with your finger, trying to adjust the speed while drawing. It is not as easy as it sounds, you will more often than not draw too fast into the hairpin and your finger will accelerate too late after the apex. Not to mention hitting the apex with fat fingers....

I guess anyone using an iPad having a huge advantage because of the bigger screen, but in any case: There is a network mode. You can compete against others "ghost laps". Apparently there is no "private" league yet, but they are working on it. Until then, we could post our PB's here and fight it out :)

The Flash game o their home page gives a hint if the idea behind the game, but it totally lacks the feeling you have from drawing the lines on your phone/iPad.

Only tried the flash version but can see how fun it is already. Is there an Android version? About to get an Android phone, may have to get an iPhone if it isn't!

Don't let the game affect your choice, it is not _that_ fun :) I do think it would be great on an iPad though, because there you could have a little bit bigger track and be a bit more precise with the lines. It is a bit to much luck involved now, trying to hit an apex with a finger. And you really have to hit it everything perfect for a good lap.

I enjoy DrawRrace as well, but the best sim racing game I have played on the iPhone is Real Racing, I like how you don't have to push and hold the accelerate button on the screen, and push anywhere on the screen to use the brake. I think over time the games will get better and better. I have been looking out for a good F1 racing game but haven't found one yet.
