The admission fee for the 1974 Brands hatch GP: 2.50 pound sterling. 1 pound for children.
The admission fee for the 2010 Silverstone GP: 400 pounds sterling for the entire weekend, 150 for race day.

AHEM! If bernie had his way, there would be no silverstone, there would be weight penalties for succesfull drivers, there would be drivers swapping teams every other gp, the world champion would be decided by medals and if all that crazyness still didnt convince you bernie is mad i suggest you go and rent the movie 'driven', instigated by ecclestone himself.

Still, i nerly fell off my chair when i saw the 1974 pre-ecclestone years admission fee vs now. And for pure excitement and eventfull races, i think you was better of in the 70s than the safety car led nonsense we se nowadays.

I loathe Bernie Ecclestone with a passion, for his greed, his arrogance, his veniality, his total lack of ethics and for all the massive damage that he has done to the sport that I love.

I wish to see him gone as soon as ever possible. But not dead, just gone well away from motorsport where he can cause no more trouble.

Happy Birthday I suppose. He may be a daft guy sometimes but he does what is best for Formula One and it's strange to think of F1 without him and what would happen? I think a lot of his 'crazy ideas' comes from his dry wit with the media and they report it as proper facts
