Well Bernie you could certainly show some ignorant French strikers how long you can really work for.
Happy birthday, may you spend it partying in your gold mansion ;)

Should be a good read indeed.
Can't understand the hate. I assume people are mainly on this site because they love and follow F1. Yet they hate the bloke who made it what it is this very day.
I have immense respect for the man.

AHEM! If bernie had his way, there would be no silverstone, there would be weight penalties for succesfull drivers, there would be drivers swapping teams every other gp, the world champion would be decided by medals and if all that crazyness still didnt convince you bernie is mad i suggest you go and rent the movie 'driven', instigated by ecclestone himself.

Hope he'll stick around for many more years and looking forward to his biography.
Like Luca said:

I think you've fallen into the trap of actually believing what ecclestone tells the press.

LOL. My original thought was that I'd posted the 104th "Happy Birthday" thread, as I was late to the forum last night, and you were all sick of it already......
I hope I have his energy at 80. Money would'nt be bad too.

Still, i nerly fell off my chair when i saw the 1974 pre-ecclestone years admission fee vs now. And for pure excitement and eventfull races, i think you was better of in the 70s than the safety car led nonsense we se nowadays.

I hope you are nothing to do with the "wishing people dead" camp. Jealousy and/or irrational hate??? shown above is a tad worrying.

I loathe Bernie Ecclestone with a passion, for his greed, his arrogance, his veniality, his total lack of ethics and for all the massive damage that he has done to the sport that I love.I hope you are nothing to do with the "wishing people dead" camp. Jealousy and/or irrational hate??? shown above is a tad worrying.
I wish to see him gone as soon as ever possible. But not dead, just gone well away from motorsport where he can cause no more trouble.

Bernie's obscene price hikes have been massively beyond inflation in the Euro zone for the last decade. He steps up prices 7-10% per annum. Not even gloomy weather can keep inflation down.

Wait. If I remember right, Stallone wanted to do a movie about F1, but couldn't get enough info, so he decided to make it about the ChampCar World Series instead. Also:
Veteran black-haired driver, team-mate of a young blond impulsive hotshot. It remembers me of a F1 team...
