Simple question: is there much of a difference between a Maserati A6GCM sports car and a Maserati 200S sports car?

Simple answer: two cylinders! The A6GCS was a six-cylinder development of the A6, which in turn owed a lot to the pre-war 6CM Voiturette. The 4-cylinder 200S was the big brother of the 150S, the engine of which shared common ancestry with the 250F.

If you need to know a lot about it Barry, I'll lend you my copy of Pritchard's Maserati book ... just PM me with your address and I'll post it off:)

I got confused.... I thought Barry was coming over all techy when I read the title, as a Maser is a Laser which uses microwave radiation (Microwave Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation). I must remember to re-educate my old professors and tell them what it really means!:D
