Hi Quintin !
Here is what I have from Cohin :

Four qualifying heats for the following classes : over 3000cc, 1500 to 3000cc, 1100 to 1500cc and less than 1100cc. All four run on 10 laps of the 26,300 km track. From the results of the heats are taken the qualifiers for the Final and the handicap starting times of each finalist. I, unfortunately, do not have the results of the heats :(

Starting times for the Final (also run on 10 laps) :

14h25'00'' : Rigal (Ariès 1086cc), Desvaux (Lombard 1095cc), Rousseau (Salmson 1096cc), Guy (Lombard 1095cc)
14h33'30'' : "Sabipa" (Bugatti 1496cc)
14h35'36" : De Vere (Chrysler 4076cc), Stoffel (Chrysler 4076cc), Brisson (Stutz 4888cc)
14h39'00" : Casse (Salmson 1096cc s/c)
14h47'08'' : Drouet (Bugatti 1991)
14h57'08'' : "Williams" (Bugatti 1991 s/c)

Final Stadings :

1. Williams 2h27'40''4/5 (real time 1h55'32''4 + 32'08" handicap) avg.speed : 106,852 kph with handicap - 136,568 kph real time.
2. Rousseau 2h30'04''3 (2h30'04''3 + 0)
3. Brisson (Stutz) 2h31'12''2 (2h20'37''2 + 10'36'')
4. Desvaux (Lombard) 2h31'28''2 (2h31'28''2 + 0)
5. Casse (Sunbeam) 2h38'36''0 (2h24'36''0 + 14'00'')
6. Stoffel (Chrysler) 2h40'14'' (2h29'38'' + 10'36'')
7. De Vere (Chrysler) 2h41'58''0 (2h31'22'' (+10'36'')
8. Guy (Lombard) 2h42'51''5 (2h42'51''4 + 0)

FL : Williams - 11'23'' (138,623 kph) at the 8th lap.

Sabipa, Drouet and Rigal retired, laps and reasons unknown.

Race run under intense heat. Williams was still second, one minute behind Rousseau at the beginning of the last lap. Great rush to first place.
I also have a 30 line review of the race with partial standings if you wish.

Cheers
Frank

The 1928 ACF Grand Prix was not only a sportscar race, but – as FEV says - run on handicap.
Casse was of course in a Salmson, not the Sunbeam that somehow slipped into Frank’s results

Additions to data already posted:
Bouriat (Peugeot) DNS (qualified)
- (Lancia) DNS or DNA
- (Lancia) DNS or DNA
Mme Jennky (Bugatti 1500) DNF – DNQ but started unofficially!
- (Bugatti 1500) DNQ
- (Bugatti 1500) DNQ
- (Bugatti 1500) DNQ
- (BNC 1100) DNQ
de Rovin (DeRovin 750) DNQ
There’s lots we don’t know: 28 cars apparently started the heats, from 48 entered

 My mistake  I'm not used to be up at this time of the morning... :) Maybe one day I'll make an error-free post, who knows

Heat 1 (unlimited) : Brisson 2:30:16.0 - de Vere 2:30:39.4 - Stoffel 2:32:06.6 - Bouriat ?

Heat 2 (3 litres) : Drouet 2:16:31.6 - Williams 2:20:42.2

Heat 3 (1.5 litres) : Sabipa 2:59:02.8

Heat 4 (1.1 litres) : Casse 2:38:39.4 - Rousseau 2:39:49.4 - Guy 2:43:18.4 - Rigal ? - Desvaux ?

"Bouriat (Peugeot) did not start in the final; Lormand (Erskine) and Mme.Jennky (Bugatti) decided to run in it although they had not qualified."

Thanks Hans,

About the entry list I've sent, is it possible to check it with, for example, pictures of the meeting ? What was the starting number of Brisson and his Stutz ? I guess it was #4, but I would like to have confirmation ! Archives d'une passion (book of Antoine Raffaelli) contains pictures of Williams and Drouet's cars (#48 and #42)
