On into double figures. After the hell of Group 9, Group 10 offers us a much easier choice I feel. The four in question here are;

1.Jos Verstappen
2.Michele Alboreto
3.Martin Brundle
4.Juan Manuel Fangio

As always, comment below please.

Seeing Fangio is a shoe-in, I've gone, for emotional reasons, Michele Alboreto :up:

Being a Moss fan, I felt my duty to pay my tribute to Grand Old Man by not voting for runner up in this group (like I did in Clark group)... My choice was justified when I saw that Alboreto had more than half Fangio's votes, a thing that does not seem right to a purist like me.

Barry, are You suggesting I should remove that part of my sig? I just felt it quite handy for a while in PC to warn people they are not to expect 'graphical logopaedic crutches' in my posts (sort of 'take trouble to read twice. if neccessary, before missing the point' warning).

I can't be a hypocrite here...

The late and lamented Argentinian has shown me his skill, even in his seventies... how could I forget that?

Seeing as Fangio was going to win hands down, I voted for the TV commentator bloke Brundle. He deserved better than he did in F1. Not a brilliant performer, but more than capable on the day. But I was so tempted to vote Verstappen...

Jos "The Boss" Verstappen, one of the greatest Formula One drivers of the modern era, gets my 100% bias free vote.

This is clearly the most unfair group of all - you could put any other three drivers in the group and I would still vote for Juan-Manuel. But at least it has got Jos out of the equation nice and early...

Well, the question is "Which of these drivers should go through into the 2nd Round?" Now, we all know who WILL go so I swallowed and voted for Michele because I feel he should go there, too... But when we go to final four I will vote for Fangio, of course...

How could anyone vote for any other than Fangio. To me it seems like they vote for 2nd place, because he also get's through. IMO, you should either vote for two guys (that would give 6 options if i'm right) or only allow the 1st placed driver through. Who knows, the one who will be placed 3rd might have more support by the Fangio voters in this group!

Yes, it would be much more fair to vote for two drivers. But it isn't allowed so some of us, including me, obviously voted for second best because we feel Fangio will go through anyway and we'd like to help the others... That's life.
