I realise that this tread is a little bit off-topic, but I could think of no other place to at least try to find more info.
On the great website:
http://www.silhouet....cks/thoars.html
I recently found the (former?) French racetrack of Thoars. The site gives no more info than the French F3 race that was held there in 1955. Now I remember a french village with the same name where I spent my holiday some ten years ago. It is situated between Digne-Les-Bains and Sisteron in Les Hauts Alpes in France and is known for the stage of the Monte Carlo Rally that goes from sisteron and passes just outside Thoars halfway the stage. As it is a very steep and narrow mountainroad, this couln't possibly be the former F3-track, could it?
Anybody?

I cant find any info on it.
I am aware of a French circuit known as 'Tours', only used once.
But it was in 1923, and I wouldn't think it would be a F3 circuit.

By the way, Thoars is probably a spelling mistake on my part - it could well be Thouars instead.

A quick search in google shows that there is a "Circuit de Thouars les Pommiers" which is used for motocross today. I have no idea whether this is based on the same circuit as that used for F3 though.
