Hello,

I would like to know if any one can send me a picture of Bruno Giacomelli driving the LeytonHouse March during private tests in 1989 or in 1990.

I am sure that pics were taken of him driving this formula one.

Thanks

I don't have it with me, but I can tell you that there is a nice colour image of Bruno driving the March at Silverstone I think in a 1990 issue of 'Prix Editions'.

Thanks for your answer Man, but I don’t know this “Prix Editions”. I live in south of France, and I have never heard about this magazine or book.

So, can you explain me what is this magazine or book ?

Futhermore, I would like to know, if someone who contribute to this e-group possess this pics of Bruno at Silverstone driving the March LeytonHouse, or, eventually, an another one.

"Prix Editions"...there's a blast from the past I'd forgotten all about  Wasn't it an Australian based F1 magazine that was around for approximately a year, maybe a little more?

Ay, nigel5 ars longa, vita brevis :rotfl:

Well, as it was your birthday just three days ago...you are granted a small token. ;)

Seeing as if nobody else was going to do it, and not to damage the reputation of this place...here you have some...

Great pics! Thanks Felix!

Another photo of Bruno Giacomelli driving the Leyton House March you can find in Bruce Jones book "The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Formula One" (edition 1997) on page 149.

Regards,
Sergey

An interesting thing to note on this picture is how far inside is the wheel. The Driver's hands are completely inside the car, even when turning.

Adrian Newey carried this to Williams years later.

Where was this picture taken? It doesn't look like Silverstone  Estoril maybe?

Ahh, yes - Prix Editions Mikey, the late 80's answer to Grand Prix International Magazine. Certainly well worth a read should you come across any copies.

I've got loads from 1988-1991 and am currently trying to finish off the collection from Ebay.com. Those were the days....;)

I sit and look at my collection of magazines and think 'why on earth do I keep these...they only take up space', and then I look at the bound issues of 1953 Autosports my father gave me and think...'that's why' :drunk: Unfortunately there are many (PI & GPI's included) that I let get away :(

These pics have been taken at the FIA Test session in Jerez 1990!
