My car (a 1955 Fiat 8V Zagato) won several prizes in the San Diego area in 1958 and 1959.
Who can tell me something about these events ?
Pictures of the Trophy's and Plaques on http://users.pandora.be/ottovu/
Thanks for your help.
Arthur.
Who recognizes these Trophy's and Plaques ?

Looking at the plaques I would say that is club racing trophy's.
Who ever raced the car was a member of a car club were showing off your car to the public to show days (In South Africa the events are known as: Cars in the park in [towns name]). Gymkana events is were driver can show his or her driving skill on a small route in a parking lot with out hitting markers and in the fastest time.
The Convair field day 1959 was most likely a car show by a air field with flying taking place for entertanment. as noted above.
The time trails are events were you one drives a car from point a to b and points are given and taken away if you not do the route in a preset time. A very populur event in Sport car clubs.

Thanks Quintin,
The owner was an employee of Convair Aircrafts. There even was a Convair Sports Car Club. Although these Club events are not very important for the history of this car I would love to have pictures of one of those events. But I am afraid that that will be almost impossible.
I am glad to have a huge file of the Italian Race history of this car.
