Last year, I published (by myself) a 208 page booklet compiling the race winners (1901-2002) in the main single-seater categories (GP, indy cars, voiturettes, F5000, cyclecars, formula libre, etc etc)
One year later, there are about 20 copies left (on a total of 111), when I am now updating here & there some of its data.
I never intended this publication for sale, only to be offered as a gift to other race enthusiasts who share information with me.
And this is exactly what the TNFers are !
So, this is the offer : I'll post one copy (free) to the first 20 pals who will ask for.
You may use my email (JimmyPiget@aol.com) to inform me on your postal address.
And, if requested, I can also send by email all the updates I have made since the booklet was out (attached files in RTF format, available for Microsoft Word et al)

Even if there is no minding on putting my compilation on the Web, I really do not know how to do it (I do not get "own pages" by my provider — AOL)
All I can add is that my files are saved under Microsoft Word format (version 6 for Macintosh), with a lot of bold, italics and colours...

Jimmy's record arrived this morning, and although I haven't had time to examine it in detail, I am amazed. The word booklet doesn't remotely do it justice. As he says in the introduction, I will have to invest in a good magnifying glaa, but that is something you accept as you move into the second half-century.

Mine arrived yesterday - a monumental achievement by Jimmy - I particularly enjoyed reminiscing about the cars and drivers that had won Libre races at Aintree, my local circuit during my childhood. I'm amazed at the number of races Jimmy's found time to note the winners of. Excellent stuff indeed. Much appreciated

that is really the worst case of understatement, I ever was confronted with. About 200 DIN-A4 pages full of information about single seater race winners. Incredible. This is really great work. I got it Monday and needed two days to throw a first look at it. I will take it to my hands often for sure. Thank you for that very worthfully compilation.

Very professionally done, too - except for the type-face being too compacted. Makes it difficult to pick errors, because one has to read it too painstakingly.
But to have such information at hand will be absolutely invaluable.

Yes, that was my problem when mocking all this up. I too an in the middle of my 50s, so my eyes are now as liable as "intermediate" tyres on a wet Francorchamps circuit (i.e. wet here and dry there at the same time)...
A financial one actually : had I used bigger fonts, that the number of pages had increased a huge lot : printers are so expensive, even with Xerox machines !
That's also why I don't intend to publish an update issue : I'm afraid I won't have the appropriate money to complete it.
But I'm doing updated files in Microsoft Word format, that I'll send by email (attached files) to pals who wish them.
I'll begin next week.

I'm not sure about a couple of the Intercontinental Formula entries:
Silverstone 6 May 1961: You have Surtees as a leader in the Lotus-Vanwall. I didn't think the L-V actually started a race, let alone lead one. Wasn't that the Vanwall-Vanwall VW14?
Snetterton 26 March 1961: You have Surtees as a class winner, in his F1 Cooper. I always thought this was a race for both F1 and IcF cars, with no classes? Was there really a F1 class, or wasSurtees merely 'first F1 finisher'?

I don't know whether there was a separate Formula 1 class at Snetterton, though I thought there was. I am sure that the race was the 25th, not the 26th.
