Separated at birth - two of the finest comedy duos of our time?
Congratulations to Col. Capps for an excellent article on the FIASCO - but it does put me in mind of Derek and Clive

Exactly the same thought as I had when i saw that picture Pete!
Clive: So anyway, I told that ******* ****** Balestre what I ******* thought of him ....
Derek: And?
Clive: He told me where I could ******* stick my ******* cars.
Derek: Up your ****?
Clive: Too ******* right he did .....
Don - excellent article BTW. I look forward to part 2.

I think it's the rare shot of Bernie without shades that does it!
I'm also put in mind of Michael Caine's line to Ian Hendry in "Get Carter", when he removes Hendry's sunglasses:
"You know, I'd almost forgotten what your eyes looked like. Still the same. Piss'oles in the snow."

It's in Readers' Comments as well, but as an admirer of the Dudley Duo I have to quote myself: [conceited mode]
Clive: "You know when Balestre was going on one of his rants? Y'know, when he had steam camin' aht of his ears, an' was goin' on abaht turbos an' bannin' skirts, an' would bang the table with 'is fist?"
Derek: "Yeah?"
Clive: "Didn't 'arf give me the fackin' horn."
[/conceited mode]

''So Max, what's the worst job you ever had?''
(Bizzarely, it was probably running a GP team!)

When browsing for books at millhouse.com I came over this interesting title, seems like it was a little too interesting for everyone to read....
Bernie's Game: The Rise Of Bernie Ecclestone And F1
Category: Motorsport Author: Terry Lovell
Based on interviews with former colleagues and other insiders, this is the 384-page unofficial biography of Bernie Ecclestone, the controversial businessman who put Formula 1 on the list of major worldwide sports. SORRY, MR ECCLESTONE HAS FINALLY MANAGED TO GET THE PUBLICATION OF THIS BOOK CANCELLED

This is ******* great, it would be a ****** worthy addition to the Motor Racing Lookalikes thread !
*******, bloody great article too Don!
Ranier, it seems that the skeletons in that closet will stay locked up until Bernie dies ... and even then I'm not too sure they'll be let out!

So......if the FIA gig doesn't work out, Max can go back to retrieving lobsters from Jayne Mansfields bum?

I will admit that initially I was confused as to why Bira would place a photo of Dudley Moore and either Peter Cook or Max Mosley in the article until I realized, belatedly, that it was merely Bernie without his sunglasses....
