Doae anyone know much about EFAC?

I believe the constructor was a Monsieur Faure from Normandy who put his own fibreglass body on a Stanguellini chassis and that's about it. The new Stanguellini book doesn't help at all.....

David Hodges' book doesn't mention the Stanguellini chassis. It only tells us about a ladder-type chassis with indipendent suspension all around and a Simca based engine driving through a Fiat gearbox. The car was raced only in 1959, with no success.

There was a EFAC Stanguellini in the 1956 Mille Miglia; I believe it was the same car. I have seen the cars called SEFAC and EFAC. The car had "rubber band" suspension which was 4CV based per the book "La Sport". EFAC was also involved in the Talbot-Maserati Le Mans car...

It is sometimes SEFA and sometimes EFAC. I do not know the difference. SEFA means appatrently Société d'Etudes Français Automobile. A Frenchman called Roger Faure imported a few Stanguellini 750cc complete cars from 1955 on (four apparently, accordingly with the recent Orsini Zagari book where c/n are given) and a spare engine in 1958 numbered in a special way.
One independently sprung chassis on rubber pads was built by SEFA for the 1959 24hrs at Le Mans, I suppose for that engine.
Faure raced a team of Stanguellini 750 from 1955 to 1959 in the main international sports car races, with little success it must be said.
Faure's cars acquired in 1957 the wellknown body designed by Reggiani and built by Campana of all latest Stanguellini sportscars. The 1956/57 Talbot-Maserati chassis also had something to do with SEFA, apparently.
Faure fielded two cars usually. Involved with the EFAC or SEFA combine were Gilbert Foury (who also drove the cars and was the builder of special called SERVAL of which I know nothing) and Pierre Duval, probably the better known driver among them, who was a prewar BNC cyclecar driver and the builder of several specials, the Colibri in prewar years - with Donnet-Zedel engine - a F2 with BMW engine and a Ford 8V sports car on Monopole post war.

1956 second in class in the Rheims 12hrs, third in the Mille Miglia and third in the Paris 1000km - not too bad
