The Goodwood web site now contains provisional details of the programme for this year’s Revival meeting and it looks as though there are a few changes from previous years. Racing is now more evenly spread between Saturday and Sunday and one innovation is a race ‘for cars of a type that raced at Brooklands prior to 1939’. Saloons are from the 1950 – 1959 era and, maybe surprisingly, the Formula Junior race is apparently for front-engined cars again. Once again no race for 500cc F3s and the race for production sports cars has also disappeared.
The strange one, to my mind, is a race ‘for production sports-racing cars using BMW or BMW-derived engines of a type that raced prior to 1955’. This seems a bit esoteric, and I can’t help but wonder whether there is some link between this and Rolls-Royce being the featured marque at the Festival of Speed?

Hmmmmm... both changes sound rather interesting. I really hope we won't see last year's experience repeated, when we opted for the Revival and missed out on a spectacular FoS. Because this year, it's the FoS for us again, so let's pray that we won't miss too much by skipping the Revival :

Sounds like Uechtel should mark out the Revival dates in his diary...
