Can somebody provide me with the exact full name of this driver? American born, living in Jersey (Isle), H.M. naval officer during WWII, instigator of the first postwar Jersey races, US Jaguar representative during the 1950s, drove for Cunningham....

Alessandro - I believe it is correctly expressed C. Gordon (John) Benett. He figures prominently in my book on Walt Hansgen, but I find I have no reference to what the initial C. stands for. I will look further.
