In a bit of shameless self-promotion, I invite you all to check out the total revamping of the Chevron Racing Ltd. website. With any luck, the site should be up and running at 9:00 PM PST. The URL addresses are: www.chevronracing.com or www.chevronracing.co.uk - it was a little late, but it's up now!

With an extraordinary amount of help from Ben Rapp and his staff at information structures limited, I was able to get my ideas and concepts crafted into reality.

Please take a moment and tour the new site and provide any feedback to either myself, on this thread or to the info@chevronracing.com email address.

If you'll notice, some of you may find your websites on the links page.

Thanks very much for your attention.

Lovely!! Co-incidentally, I had been "surfing" a few days ago and came upon the site. I've long been a fan of the B16, especially after finding a complete but tired body of a B16 in a garage I rented in Vancouver a fw years ago!
Keep up the good work-maybe I'll need a chassis yet!

Pete, when I first read your post, I was startled - thinking that I had cut and pasted one of my personal favorites! then of course, the 'wink' gave it clarity...

David, What a find! There must be some sort of story behind that... Have you done any research on that body? Your in North America I see, we'd love to help you out with restoring that car one day.

I'm happy to read that you liked the site guys...

This is only a body, not a complete car. Supposedly it was "displayed' on the wall of a restaurant in Seattle in the early eighties and a friend of mine bought it from the restaurant. When I took over the rental of a lock-up garage from him he left the body in it. No one seems to know any history of the car it came off-there were several B16s racing around here up untill about 1980. The body is well used but there are still acouple of "Specialised Moldings" stickers here and there. To be honest, I no longer have it, when we moved to the island I gave it to a friend who subsequently passed it on to someone else but I still know where it is.
Regards, David B

Pete, you have fine taste in racing cars and automatic weapons... ;)

And that would be Kirkistown near Lancashire?

David, we should track that baby down and find out more about it.

My local circuit was Aintree - Kirkistown was sort of on the other side of the Irish Sea ;)
The Uzi isn't mine - I was assured it was deactivated. I was also assured that the Bergmann MP-28 the same night was deactivated... now that was a lovely weapon to handle. Very heavy for a sub-machine gun though. Good party.

Pete, I was just going from the often run track by Bennett in the early days. This Yank suffers a bit from knowing in-depth geography of that area. That ever-increasing learning curve again, Aintree it is.
