One more obscure subject.....the Daihatsu Charade 926R Gr.B Rally Prototypes.
These weren't more than show cars but it is very difficult to find any information about them.
2 different cars were built :
- 1983 Version - Rear engined - 1000cc L3 cylinder turbo - 200ps - 660kg (!!!)
- 1989 Version - Rear engined + 4WD - 1000cc L3 cylinder turbo - 300ps(!!!) - 750kg

At least one Daihatsu prototype got a little further.
FIA homologation B268 was a Daihatsu Charade 926 Turbo (926 cc x 1.4 = 1297 cc). So at least 200 were produced. I don't have any exact date for the homologation, but it probably happened sometime during 1984 up to March 1985 at latest.
At the RallyBase I found the results for the 1985 Finnish World Rally Championship http://weasel.studen...ult&rallyid=236. 29th overall and a class B9-win for a Daihatsu Charade Turbo.
Homologation B269 is in fact another B9-contender - the Skoda 130 LR!
