help needed for quiz

Hello out there,

I'm currently trying to get the answers to several questions of an F1 quiz.
Just 2 of 54 are left and I just have nothing left to check.
So maybe one of you experts knows...

how Denny Hulme's first attempt as a racing driver ended ?
1. with a go-kart in a pool
2. with a win in a mountain race
3. with a class win in a motorcycle race

and

how did Clay Regazzoni get the idea to grow his famous beard in the early seventies ?
1. it was the result of a lost bet
2. he was impressed by Sean Connery's beard
3. in the US he always had trouble with electric shaver so he stopped shaving

There's an unwritten (well actually it IS written) rule that no help will be provided to answer quizes where prices can be won..

I hope you can understand the ethics in this.

This forum and its members have been very badly abused and harassed by those participating in quizzes in the past. It is our policy to not encourage the use of this forum for that purpose.

Generally, threads like this are deleted almost immediately, but you were so out front about it I decided to wait a bit to see what happened.

I'm glad You were 'leniant'. In this case, anybody willing to help (unfortunately, I'm clueless) will be able to do so, knowing the purpose of the thread. I think Pironist did a right thing declaring purpose of his inquiry. Gopod luck with the quiz, BTW.
