Anyone up for another Laleham meeting?

We could vote for a "sticky" or perhaps settle on a regular day - last month was the third Wednesday.

What say the Lalehamites?

...........are we talking the week beginning the 22nd??If so, I can only make the Friday, which I realise is not the most ideal of days. I'm seeing The Who twice that week and am working the other nights.

Speaking for myself, a Friday would be best, though there's a 50/50 chance I could make it on a Thursday

I'm out of circulation the entire last week in March - appearing in a production of "Me and My Girl" (I'm the chef!)

I think I'm ok for the Friday. Shall we say the 26th at 8:30ish?

Maybe we should discuss having a regular date in future.

And OK by me. However I do agree with Cirrus's suggestion that we agree a regular date; that way I will not have to keep posting a regular reminder:)

Friday's a good possibility for me. For the first time in ages I'm really busy - thank goodness - but should have cleared all the panics by then...

Eric - couldn't you nip out and give us a private rendition during the interval? :)

Er - No.

Believe me, you wouldn't appreciate it.

As for Fridays, I'd prefer NOT to have meetings on Friday if it could be at all avoided (obviously March doesn'y matter as I can't be there anyway). Wednesdays and most Thirsdays are usually best for me.

I see that the Metro DC meeting has been promoted to a "sticky".

What do we Lalehamites have to do, Mr Moderator, to be similarly promoted thus?

If a thread gets enough posts it will stay at the top of the lists withiut the need for artificial stickiness. ;)

Rising sporting and media star, G. Critcher, will be signing autographs at the regular hostelry in Laleham this Friday, then?

Aaarrgggg - missed out for the second consecutive time. Dammit! 23:32hrs pip-emma - meant to attend, too - then the telephone rang...and I forgot. One difficulty of helping out a British company with satellites in the US and Australia is that when the working day ends in London, it's beginning in San Francisco, and then when...etc etc.

................and you missed a good one, Doug! An impressive turn-out of 218 people!! Unbelievable!! Well, OK, it was just the six of us! Subject matters ranged from the Brabham BT34 to the Lotus 88 to Jackie Stewarts' haircut! and the pub was nowhere near as crowded as I thought it might be on a Friday night.

they were bluddy superb, Roger!! Both Pete & Rog were 'up' for it, highlight of each night, for me, was 'Won't Get Fooled Again', an absolute classic! Roger in great voice and Pete's guitar playing seems to have come on in leaps and bounds! It was good to see them play in a place that only holds 2,000 people too.

Abiding memories of this Laleham......

2F-001's story of how he nearly got his head crushed in "When Caterhams Go Bad".

The sneak preview of the next Lotus Seven Club magazine.

VAR1016's frank admission that he has a morbid fear of springs.

VAR1016's very noisy Lucas-injected Fulvia Coupe in the carpark

Gary C's photos - stand by for some interesting "Who, what, where whens?"

Oh.....and the red Snetterton telephone kiosk

....It all seemed to make sense at the time

VAR016, Cirrus, Gary C, 2F-001, David McKinney and yours truly (complete with a toothache) makes six.

The conversation took my mind off the tooth for a couple of hours. Thank you gents.

You seemed remarkably chipper, all considered, D-type. I do hope you can keep the tooth pain in check until the dentist can sort you out.

Another very enjoyable evening - thank you chaps. (And since I'm "house-sitting" locally, I didn't have my fifty-mile drive home either!).
