Does anybody know what colour Ascari's overalls were?
The reason for asking is that I have a 1/43 model of his 1952 Ferrari. The driver has a blue helmet and overalls in the same blue. This is about the same shade of blue as a Tyrell, a pack of Gitanes, or a pair of jeans. I am sure that Ascari would have worn the usual Pirelli pale blue overalls.

Ascari didn't normally wear overalls...
He customarily wore medium to dark blue belted trousers, a blue short-sleeved sports shirt, and his pale-blue pudding-basin crash helmet. In wet weather he often wore a dark green or dark blue cycling-style cape or poncho.

You've phrased it better than I could have. All I'll add is a big 'Thank you' and an equally big 'Merci'
I'll be getting out the paint pots

What a luverly picture!
I have a painting of that car, unfortunately not with Ascari present, by a local artist but I think the photo might be better!
