It's a dark, dull, Sunday afternoon and the rain is beating down - so some historic motorsport video would be welcome :-

A look at www.british-car-films.co.uk/free might be of interest - they have a special offer at present ( expires close of play 18th April - so a quick on line order would be needed ) - A free 2HR DVD " 100 years of motoring history " with every order - and its all archive material and I think very good.
They have a great many tapes, books posters etc but the following specially caught my eye.

" Goodwood - the motor racing years 1948 - 1966 " is a great 1hr compilation of original footage down the years , the circuit history, and several interviews produced in 1998

Three other tapes of theirs I had not come across before all on the history of the British Motor Corporation

"BMC Competitions department" - Three films totalling an hour - "Against the clock", 1955 - 100 miles in the hour tests at Montlhery for standard MGA, Healey 100, Pathfinder, A90, & 6/90

"Winning Ways" , 1962 - BMC products being prepared & raced all over the country

" Six hours at Sandown " - 1965 The factory Mini Cooper S team do a six hour race at Melbourne with Galaxy's Lotus Cortina's, Jaguar's etc.

"The original BMC Factory Films " - Three more shorts totalling 60 mins 1961 for the markets of the world production & export, 1962 - BMC Quality, 1963 - "The British Motor Car " history with archive film of the company - much about William Morris.

"Leyland Cars of the 70's " - The Maxi, Marina, Allegro & Princess years promotional films but most interesting from the perspective of 30 years on. - 1 hr.

They have special deals and a whole lot more , - worth a look at their website its all originated from "The House of Weguelin " - so you know its all been done well I have no connection with it but I thought they were all worth watching - So I pass it on for what its worth.
