Should be interesting. Like him or loath him (and personally I like him) Sewell is usually worth listening to. As a known Daimler enthusiast, I wonder if he will engage in some "knocking copy" about R-R?

He is certainly not frightened to speak his mind .

Caught the second half purely by chance, I do like Sewell and his anachronistic ways - when he kept leaning on the bar which collapsed the roof was very funny, kudos to C5 for keeping that bit in.
Lovely cars as well, never really cared for them myself but they were impressive.

Refreshing, entertaining and informative, Mr Sewell is the anti-dote to the dull, bland, timid line towing TV presenters sadly we are so often lumbered with these days.
I hope he goes on to make it a series covering all sorts of different marques - a lot of car makers past and present are coming up to, or have reached 100 years.
Well done Channel 5 , a small oasis in a sea of mire that is British TV today. - more please of the same Brian.

You can pass on your comments and thoughts about the series direct to Brian Sewell and the programme commissioners together with any ideas for future programmes in the same vein by e-mail on customerservices@five.tv

Part 2
........... is on tonight at 7.30pm on channel 5 'till 8.00pm
- I would imagine Brian will be somewhat less complementary about the modern versions of the marque as he brings the story up to date in conclusion
Any ideas you may have for future programmes or comments to customerservices@five.tv

Thanks for the reminder Richard.
I thought it was good last week and also had the impression that part two would probably be even better. Fingers crossed!

I hope Channel 5 will be sufficiently encouraged to make this in to a series and cover lots of other marques, perhaps Jaguar, MG,Bentley, and the fascinating stories behind some of the long defunct car makers. I though Brian Sewell did an admirable job
