Anybody got anything on this woman. Here's what I think I know.

Married to Luigi Chinetti, Jr. for a short time in the sixties.

Owned the GTO in which Pedro Rodriguez won the Daytona Continental in 1963. Same car finished 4th that year at Sebring with Cannon/Bonnier.

Have her entering Grossman in a Camero at Daytona 24 hours in 1970.

Supposedly first woman NASCAR owner to win a cup race - Freddie Lorenzen at Augusta GA in early 60s. Haven't fixed year yet.

Reynolds tobacco family.

More? Many thanks.

Michael,

Mamie Reynolds' car won a 100 mile NASCAR Grand National race on the 1/2 mile dirt Augusta Speedway on September 13, 1962 (that from the entry I have for that date in "This Date In Auto Racing").

Fielden & Golenbock's "Stock Car Racing Encyclopedia" lists 20 GN races overall for her as an owner. 7 in '62 and 13 in '63. 5 in '62 with Darel Dieringer driving, 2 with Lorenzen. '63 had 1 for Dieringer (actually late '62 but '63 season as per NASCAR of the era) and 12 for Ed Livingston.

With Livingston, Reynolds' made all the superspeedway events in '63 (Daytona, Darlington, Atlanta and Charlotte, also ran both races at Bristol and a lone short track event at Greenville, South Carolina).

First start for a car owned by her was September 3, 1962, the 'Southern 500' at Darlington with Dieringer driving. Last was October 13, 1963, 'National 400' at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Livingston driving.
