As my interest in the Group C/GTP era has grown - with more and more hours just looking at the beautiful photos at Racingsportscars.com - I've started to really notice how IMSA and FIA WSC were not the only championships of that vein out there...
However, I can only think of two "national" ones at the moment...were there any more than the others on this list?
IMSA GTP (not Group C rules, but essentially similar bodyshapes)
FIA WSC (originator of Group C fuel milage regulations)
Interserie (wasn't this originally Group 7/Can-Am-like before the Group C era?)
Supercup (German national Group C)
All-Japan Sports Prototype Championship
DRM (They did allow Group C cars right when the regulation started, dunno if it was their bread and butter though)
ADAC Norisring Trophy (one-off? - http://www.racingspo...-01t-photo.html - seems to be similar entry list to the DRM events at Norisring, may have evolved into Supercup)
Total list of Group C championships?

British C2 series..... not a great success but it had some good cars in it - sprung up out of a mix of British C2 teams who were running in the WSPC and a few others - ex-Thundersports types etc. Ran for three years ('88-'90), although never really had large fields...

Don't lump IMSA GTP in with Group C. The IMSA GTP cars were the antithesis of the Group C cars and produced a helluva lot better racing as a result.
