The caption in the period magazine states it is Piers Courage.

Piers Courage drove the John Coombs McLaren M4A carrying No.6 in the 1967 Grote Prijs van Zandvoort. It looks like Piers going by the helmet colours.

Robin Widdows had a red helmet.

there is a picture of Widdows at the wheel of the Matra MS659 #35 at Le Mans 1969, he drove with co-driver Nanni Galli (yellow helmet) he has a red helmet.
