Hello to everybody,

During the 69 season of Formula 2, there was Tecno 68 and 69 entered in the various races.

I would like to have precisions about the production of these cars.

Can you indicate me the number of cars produced by each type?

Thanks

In Formula Two I have noted the following chassis numbers:

1968
TOO284 - Clay Regazzoni
TOO270 - Carlo Facetti
TOO286 - Silvio Moser
TOO296 - Pedro Rodriguez
TOO298 - Jonathan Williams
TOO306 - Jo Siffert
TOO288 - Cralos Reutemann and Oscar Franco
TOO304 - Andrea Vianni
TOO290 - Carlos Marincovichi

The following drivers were spotted in Tecnos but I cannot associate them with a specific chassis:

Jean-Pierre Jaussaud - Crystal Palace and Monza
Dickie Attwood - Hockenheim, Zandvoort, Reims and Albi
Eric Offenstadt - Monza and Zandvoort
David Hobbs - Monza

1969
TOO304 - Francois Cevert, Nanni Galli, Clay Regazzoni and Ronnie Peterson
TOO306 - Nanni Galli and Francois Cevert
TOO286 - Max Busch and Roland Binder
TOO400 - Gunther Huber
TOO402 - Bruno Frey
TOO270 - Carlo Facetti
TOO214 - Clay Regazzoni

I also have Alistair Walker out in a chassis given the number AWT082.

Hope this goes some way to solving the riddle.

Thank you Steve, it notably helps me as regards the chassis number and their destination.

It's sure that it's not easy to have informations about Tecno cars, so I agree with you
Philippe.

Tracked down one of the missing chassis Numbers for 1968:

TOO-268 - Jean-Pierre Jaussaud

Also narrowed down the others for 1968.

TOO-288 and TOO-290 were the chassis 'shared by' Eric Offenstadt, David Hobbs & Dickie Attwood

I'll keep digging however Tecno were notorious for NOT keeping good records of Chassis numbers.
This means you are dependant on the journalists of the day recording who drove what. The level of information available is VARIABLE to say the least!

Some variations from your list Steve

1968
I have the following:-
268 - Regazzoni first half of season
272 - Jaussaud
284 - Regazzoni from midyear
288 - plus J Williams and Rodriguez
296 - J Williams (and Rodriguez Temporada)
298 - J Williams Temporada
306 - Siffert Temporada

1969
I have: -
Peterson in 284 from midyear
Regazzoni’s car as 314 (with a note wondering if that meant 304)
Busch sharing Huber’s car (400), not Binder’s
