I was about 50 yards back up the bank at Clearways that day. A handfull of blokes went down and kicked the 'effigy' over and stamped on it.

I always thought those BP colours really looked the business, even more so on the RG500 which wasnt seen very often.

Ray Stringer Brands Hatch Trans Trophy 1991, Winner of all three races @ Mallory Park using his 1000cc motor which was within the rules, everyone else thought it was for 750cc machines!

I seem to remember some misprinted posters for the first trophy meeting which advertised:

'Transatanic Trophy Races'. :stoned:

Could be wrong :(

Your right Tony, think is was 1976 though? a photo was in Motor Cycle Racer magazine so after 1975.

3rd picture, the guy with his arm around a woman, i've zoomed in and had a good look, he bears more than a passing resemblance to Hailwood.

Anyone got any pics of 84 at Donington? The ill fated Spencer crash one, and my first ever bike meeting! All I remember is Sheene being slower than my Dad wanted him to be and Croz wheelying on an old 4 stroke!!
