My friend knocked my copy off of my desk the other day and it broke the spine the back of it fell off completely, so I need to buy another copy. Does anyone know where I can get a copy pretty cheap? I've looked on eBay and only the 2nd Edition is on there. I've looked on Amazon and it's being sold for £60

Currently there are several first and second editions on www.abebooks.co.uk - at a lot less than 60 quid!

I've recently seen a copy the third edition discounted in one of the usual suspects. It was damaged so I didn't buy it

Does anybody know whether there will be a fourth edition? I reckon it's due soon.

One of my most well-thumbed books!

Most likely not... :

While searching online for places to buy the book, I found this:

Actually, it is being discussed and I saw some provisional layouts not long ago. If it happens, it'll contain a lot of colour images unlike previous editions.

Paul:

How's your friend's "spine"? I would have crowned him or her!

Hehe, well, to be fair, I did kinda leave it purched on a little ledge underneath the desk, so... :o My friend sat down and unknowingly pushed it with his knee.

Chaters have it for £19.99, which is fair. They don't have it in stock at present, but that might be an option for you to pursue. http://www.chaters.c...fm/bks_id/10738

I have been running on a 1st edition of this fine book since 1994 and stumbled across the fourth edition in the Solihull branch of "The Works" yesterday on sale @ £12.

I purchased the 3 copies that the shop had in stock and have 1 copy spare which I shall have with me at Race Retro next Friday. If anyone wants to purchase this weighty tome for £12,          pm me.

What does it have that the 3rd Edition doesn't have?

That copy I purchased in 2006 passed through quite a few famous hands in the end....

More colour pics, vastly expanded bios, just as many typos. A superb effort overall, I didn't feel cheated paying £60 for it, so £12 is a steal even though it's 5 seasons out of date now.
