As promised by Stuart (Twinny), here are some amateur images taken during my trip to Shelsley last Sunday. To celebrate 60 years since the first example escaped, Jeremy Nightingale organised a weekend of activities for Dellow club members - I took Stuart Turners Mk2 as he couldn't be there. 23 cars were in attendance on the second day of the event, ranging from what I understood to be the earliest survivor (CAB 282?), through regularly campaigned triallers, to several restored cars.
There was an MAC meeting on too, so I have included a couple of shots of the competitors, plus one of a pair of oft forgotten English sports cars - answers on postcards
We met up at Great Whitley for a run in the surrounding countryside first.
Before gathering at Shelsley.
Oldest?
Ongoing rebuild to more modern spec - Rover 'K' series powered!!
Running repairs to a currently campaigned 'blown' example.
All the colours, but not all different sizes............
I do know really
Tony Marsh still going strong.
Pass!
Son Steven approved of the days activities too

Highly appropriate for TNF that you included a shot of Tony Marsh in his latest Gould V8(163) - his cv includes a Le Mans Class win in the 60s (Lotus?) , 6 British Hillclimb championship titles (the first a full 51 year ago) and several Grand Prix drives for BRM in 62, among many other things.
Great event, lots of nice cars and nice weather.

Howard mentioned that Mike Lawrence was there, and seemed to be the former owner of one of the cars...

It's Bob Penrose's Roman MkV DFL. Which I think has a history far too complex to fit in this margin.Pass!

There was mention on the commentary at Gurston a week before that this car had something of a long and involved history. Was it the car Ray Rowen won the title with or a sister car? And how much actual Toleman is left I wonder?
