On June 11, 1933 –the same day of the French Grand Prix– Trossi in a Scuderia Ferrari Alfa Romeo 8C-2600 MM won the Florence Circuit Race for racecars. This minor national event lasted but two hours and led over a 140.1 km (30 x 4.670 km) distance. During the race, a crash happened where the Italian driver Albino Pratesi was injured. He died 10 days later on June 21, from injuries received in the crash.
