During the late 80s and early 90s I was curator of the Filching Manor Motor Museum, and during this time had the pleasure of dealing with John Jordan, of Homlesmill Bakeries (all spelt wrong I'm sure). He wanted to part with what I believe was the 230, built for the UK Aurora series. I visited him, and he told me he had to get rid of it as he was not well and the doctor said the stress of running a team was not helping. He had about 4 sea containers of spares, engines, gearboxes, body work (some original hand beaten magnesium nose sections!! He offered me a P160 nose, full width shovel so circa '73, which to my regret I turned down, I thought t was taking advantage) and I am very certain, a couple of tubs.
Simple question, where did it all go, it must be priceless now, and what became of John??

Dave Finnigan (who was John's mechanic on so many of his cars from his M6B - which Dave still has) acquired the two P207s that John owned. He also had John's ex Trimmer/Belso F5000 Lola T332, now owned by Frank Lyons. Last time I saw Dave, few months ago, he said John was well.

Thanks for bringing the other threads to my attention (must be a new boy thing!), but more importantly good to hear John is still going strong, I only ever spoke to him on the 'phone, but I was always on there for ages, and always put it down with a bloody great smile on my face.
So, where are the containers of spares then!!!?

Neil Bettridge drove the Jordan-BRM and it was my understanding that his father, who owned a building company in Wiltshire, was a partner of John Jordan in the BRM project.

I visited Dave Finnigan yesterday on the way to our TNF meet. He is busy restoring the second P207 which he hopes will go to the USA to race alongside the sister car that he finished last year.
This first P207 restoration sold to John & David Springett has now tested, practiced, qualified and raced for over 600 miles and the engine has not missed a beat! It raced again last weekend. Dave identified the flaws in the original design/build with the valve seats and has rectified them.
Dave is as ever busy with many of the ex-John Jordan cars. The M6B is also being worked on, the new body has been delivered and Dave looked after the T332 which Tony Trimmer won with at Brands recently. Somehow, inbetween he also prepared Joe Ward's B8 which won its class in both races at Brands. ( Not an ex-John Jordan car)
Doug N - Once Dave has done a bit more to the second car we will arrange a visit!
