I'm starting the process of having someone investigate how to link the 2 engines now. It will be an independent device that will allow the rear engine to have up to an extra 1000 rpm more at any given time but the front to never overspeed the rear. I will keep you informed of its progress, hopefully just a simple electronic rev limiter based on rpm differential.
My (later) project will have 3200cc (imagine 2x Toyota 4age units) and about 250hp but will keep it light.
70's - 80's Subaru discbrake calipers are 1 option should you require cheap calipers with handbrake.

Take 1 tube with a form of piston in the middle that covers a blow off hole (or 2).
Piston located centrally by a spring at each end.
At each end run a pipe from the 2 engines inlet manifolds.
When 1 engine develops more boost pressure than the other, it will move the piston uncovering the blowoff hole releasing boost until the other end catches up pushing the piston back over the blowoff hole.
Simple, now you owe me $10.

Yeah thats a bummer, I also had the same problem with my Corvette Z12 appropriatly named being a twin engined, 1010hp 4 wheel drive Z06.
Darn hardrives, sorry Phantom.

The outrage! I dont eat garlic, garlic is a living organism and only murderers eat living organisms.
If you ate a garlic today think of its children, who would feed and clove them?
