For me this weekend sums up why Schumacher is so far past his sell-by date. He's really upped his game again, indicating that he simply hasn't been putting the effort in before now. I hope he disappears from F1 for good, at the moment he's just occupying a seat that would go otherwise to a hungrier driver.

Or it sums up that he needs more motivation, for example a competitive car.

Trulli still has it. There is a long queue of drivers who'd give their right arms to drive that Toyota (not literally, that would be like shooting oneself in the foot), if Schumacher can't be bothered then the team will never move forward. Look at Button this year, after years of driving for a team not quite good enough, he finds they've descended to laughably piss poor (didn't Honda fill the back row after qualifying for one race this year?!), yet he's probably driving better than ever!

Button had a very good second part of the 2006 season, including a win, and this undoubtedly replenished his motivation - still he has been beaten by RB more than once this year and the 'better than ever part' is debatable.
I would like to see how he will perform if 2008 is equally bad for Honda.
