This "Important" car has gone through a real interesting prewar, and current restored life, can anyone help to document it's History, and todays status?

1939 Mercedes-Benz serial:#015 second last of the series...

Ah, this is the second time this week this car has popped up in my field of view! Curious things are afoot....

'15' was the last W154 chassis built and was only used at Belgrade. Therefore, not so certain about the "interesting" pre-war history part. It was not one of the cars used in the Argentine races. However, it ended up in the hands of one Joska Roman -- said by some to be Ceausecu's dentist -- of Cluj, Romania who also managed to obtain '07' as well. Last I heard, '15' was in Switzerland somewhere. '07' (with M154/H10) went to Joel Finn and then to Sweden for Hans Thulin.

1939 Yugoslavia, Belgrade
date 1939/09/03 Race number 6
Finished 2nd, 7.6 seconds adrift Nuvolari
Chassis W154/15 werkes no. 189 445 komission no. 275 842
Engine M154/H10 w/H18 as a spare
Driver von Brauchitsch

Don
Can't you tell us what ratios were in the gearbox when it raced in Yugoslavia - and the number of louvres in the bonnet?
Just kidding.

If someone can tell me how to post a few pictures, You then can count how many louvre's..gear ratios? How about tyre pressure?
These are mostly current photos after the restoration at MB factory...

MOTORSPORT RESORT,

You need to have the pictures on any website, then copy the url. After the url text, no spaces, put [/img]. Before the url text, no spaces, put [img]. I had to explain it backwards to get the tags to show. Use preview reply to make sure it works. Good luck.
