The windows that open when you click 'view in 3x size' in the Gallery have no scroll bars. When you use a small(ish) screen, like on my girlfriend's MacBook (1280x800px) this can be pretty annoying. For example in the side-on pictures of preseason testing in Valencia the cars are literally cut in half for me and the only way to view the bottom half of the cars would be to download the pictures and open them in a viewer.

Would it be possible to make those windows open with scroll bars when needed?

I was wondering if Autosport fancied making the larger size images more easily browsable using a "lightbox" such as prettyPhoto.

I've used this particular one on a few of my websites. It works well across browsers and at different screen resolutions.

It would be nice to be able to click next or previous instead of having to open and close new windows each time.

I was just about to start a thread making a similar observation. The gallery hasn't kept up with the times and it feels rather klunky.

I think that this is probably a fair assessment, to be honest.

We're just finishing rebuilding the backend of the galleries as the process of adding galleries and pictures was rather out of date, we'll have to look into what can be done about the front end next...

Whats up with the lack of new photos? There's basically nothing outside of the F1 launch photos and some MotoGP testing. The Daytona 24hrs, two Nascar events, Grand-Am at COTA, two rounds of the WRC, the opening round of the V8SC have all happened so far this year.

NASCAR, the WRC and the V8SC (and GP2 testing) can all be found in the "News in Pictures" galleries, or by searching manually. There are very few WRC photos (although there are some additional images from the archives), but on the other hand the maximum size of the NASCAR photos has been increased to bring it into line with the other series. I can't find any Grand-Am or Daytona 24 Hours photos.
