I am seeking 50ies-photos of:

a_the Alfredo Momo RALLYE MOTORS-dealership in NYC/USA
b_the Zagato factory in Milano/Italy
c_the factorys of Alemanno, Touring and Vignale

Can anybody help?

Walter: I have here in my home library a magazine called "Sports Cars and Hot Rods by the Editors of Mechanix Illustrated" from December 1953. This issue has a 4-page article called "Momo's White-Tiled Gold Mine", with 14 b/w pictures. This is about the Momo Corporation in Woodside, Long Island, New York. I don't really know if that is the same thing as Rallye Motors. If you will send me a PM with your email address, I will scan and send the article to you.

I'm sure I also have pictures of the Zagato and Vignale factories, I'm not certain about Allemano and Touring.

CoCo: I was wondering where you got the idea that Alfred Momo was in any way associated with Rallye Motors? Rallye Motors was based in Glen Cove, Long Island. Momo's operations were based in Woodside being in Queens, which is near La Guardia. Two entirely different operations.

Looks like the Aussie Stan Jones Maybach Spl after its Southport crash, 1954 Australian Grand Prix.

Maybach 2, Before. Note rocker cover shape, body shape around cowl. Also shape of exhaust stubs. That's Stan Jones, father of Alan, kneeling at left.



After the crash, engine cover tossed on, ready to go back to the workshop. Note chassis snapped off in front of engine. Car was scrapped, new Maybach 3 built.
