Good result from Jos.Former F1 drivers win race
07 April 2008
Former Formula 1 driver Jos Verstappen claimed his first victory in the first race on the Le Mans Series Calendar. Meanwhile in Mexico, former Jordan and Midland driver Tiago Monteiro claimed his first victory in the WTCC series.
After being unable to get a suitable deal for the 2007 Formula 1 season Tiago Monteiro joined the WTCC series in 2007 with Seat. The Portuguese driver completed a solid first season and in the second round of the 2008 season Monteiro won his first race in WTCC.
At Circuit de Catalunya the Le Mans Series completed 1000 kilometres. In his first race since two years Jos Verstappen immediately showed he still has what it takes to be competitive on track. The Dutchman dominated the race in the LMP2 class and won Sunday's race in Spain.
Ohhhh Yes!...Uuuuhhhh Ooooooh Jos!

Too bad the Essex team had so many problems, otherwise we would have known how competitive they really were.

I guess Team Essex did not break the lap-record there, but Jos did...1.03.38...amazing(do I see a trembling upperlip at Peugeot?)
LOL
Send Sato with his Aguri Suzuki and he will beat the lap record in one flying lap. How long will it take you guys to give up the idea that Jos is a top driver?

Good on you Frans, judging from your picture in the Paddock, you seem to have many tattoos so where are the Jos tattoos and where will you place the new one in the unlikely event that Team Merksteijn wins the next round?Originally posted by Frans
