11/5 TR Turkey: Medium/ Hard
25/5 MC Monaco: SUPERSOFT / soft (new compound)
8/6 CDN Canada: SUPERSOFT / soft
22/6 F France: Soft / Medium
6/7 GB Great Britain: Medium / Hard

So the only change to last year is Bahrain and a new Super Soft compound, good to see some continuity from Bridgestone should allow the teams a good base to work from when they arrive at the circuit.

Unless the lack of TC has significant impact on tyre wear...

Hmmm... I didn't consider the fact that races could become more processional, let's pray that the TC ban can spice it up a bit and make tyre choices more difficult otherwise teams will most likely use them as they did last year.
I think it would be more interesting to have a bigger step between the compounds so if the hardest compound were the mediums the other option would be the super softs. That way the softer compound would not last anywhere near as long but may give a significant grip advantage for the few laps they are used.

I'd rather teams were allowed to choose their tyres from all four options, in advance maybe (so BS don't have to bring twice as many to a race).
With BS choosing the compounds that have to be used, there is the possibility of bias, which need not be there. By the sound of things from the testing, Ferrari can still use a softer compound than the others.
I'm a bit surprised it's been left so unmanaged.

I wonder what type of tyres would be optimal for earthquake conditions. They might be needed for the BGP.

Now is the time to bring in the no tire change law, it should now work as it was supposed too when it was in last time BS has nothing to lose.

I don't want to see a repeat of what happened to Raikonnen, because someone *had* to stay out on a bad tire. I like tire changing/pit stops; I don't like the two compound rule.
