2009 & 2010 F1 Calendars

How can you see the future calendars developing?

I know we have India, Abu Dhabi and Korea on the way, but will bernard have a few more tricks up his sleeve? Maybe a return to Portugal at the new Autodrome of Algarve, perhaps instead of one of the Spanish rounds?

I think He's next trick might be to stage a race around Fort Knox.
He wont have to drive far to collect his loot after the race.

I'd like him to abandon the season/ off season format.

Since teams design their cars all year anyway, and it's a global sport with no "winter", let's have two compulsory one-month holidays for the personnel and race 10 months of the year, please Bernie.

Average a race per fortnight, with flyaways more compact but a break after, like mini-seasons in America, Asia etc., that's 44 weeks, 22 races.

And no off season

Check out Wikipedia's stance on the calendars. They have the Abu Dhabi GP confirmed for '09 and the Korea and India races for '10, plus the rumoured return of San Marino, Russia, and Indianapolis

Personally I'd like to see up to, say, 25 GPs per season, starting late January or early February. Also less testing, apart from a MotoGP-esque Grand Prix 0 test pre-season, two in-season sessions. Plus a spring and a summer break for the teams.

I'm pretty sure bernie said the only way San Marino will ever get the race again is if they shared with monza.

Agreed, he also confirmed that by saying that Turkey has replaced San Marino, hence Istanbuls new place on the calendar early in the season.

I'd like there to be 16 GPs a year plus 4 non-GP events. Anything past that would lead to overexposure.

This off season non-sense is too long to wait IMO. Or if they would televise the winter testing that would be good

I don't see the point in Non-HP races in this day and age, but I think 20 GPs is the absolute limit.

let´s hope so. we are all expecting it.
can´t see the need of a circuit in the algarve without previous bernie aproval.

I remember Bernie was interested to in Vegas or Long Beach?

I wondered about that, too, with all the new street circuits added to the calendar, why not go back to an 'old' one?
