If (a big if I know) things start going wrong and success eludes them sponsers will migrate to the new successful teams. If funding then becomes an issue the parent company would close/sell the operation as they would any unprofitable part of their business. Top teams have gone to the wall before, do not make the mistake of thinking that it could not happen to Ferrari as well.

These are not the same times that Enzo started in, and whilst Ferrari is probably one of the least likely teams to disappear, it should not be looked on as a cast iron guarantee.

I agree that nothing is cast in stone but Ferrari always being part of F1 (and saving it if needed) is as sure as the sun outlasting the human race.

I live for the thread where Schumacher's announces a comeback, it will shuffle the mere technical fabrics of the forum, and the forum would be down for a long long time, and I'll announce 3 days of non stop partyiing in London at a venue, with a massive tag headlined "SCHUMI COMEBACK." And I'll pay for your flight ticket to come to London, it'll be silly, but Schumi is one driver that'll always bring out the boy in me in awe of his cornering technique. He'll carry the speed in and live with a lively rear end, a set up undrivable by any other man on the planet! The man is still competitive and fast, and he watches the races on tv, controlling his urges not to compete, how long can he keep that up. The Psychology of a driven man in retirement, Schumacher is as interesting as ever in this stage of his life.

To him (and myself) Schumacher and Senna are two best drivers ever. Schumacher is one he wishes to watch in F1. So there is nothing wrong with it.

And what is in your name? montoyaspeed. Does Montoya's name appear in every post from you? Is it not annoying?

Senna's comittment and passion while he was in f1, ensures generations of f1 fans in the future will reference him.

I'm sure in the future, some f1 database on exist online so fans can check out onboard laps of any driver, perhaps after Bernie's dead or something, we'll get all the information and onboard awesome poles from Senna and Schumi. There's a trackload of onboard footage still to this day that hasn't been made public, so many performances, so many legendary and important poles, f1 fans will come back sniffing for it.

F1 HISTORY is there when a current season bores us.

He was the ultimate all time f1 super star, and he still's competitive, so there's always hope. It would be a great day, to click on autosport one day, and see the news "Schumacher to race again."

I mean I would love Senna to be racing, Jim Clark, Gilles, and loads more, but they are dead, and Schumi is alive, all we need is him to give in to his DNA which is made to challenge, he's resisting it because he mentally made a decision, but if the DNA of challenging ever haunts him a bit more, then you never know, it's all psychogical, he's raced on slick tyres, he's still fast, slick tyres is back in 2009, he set some amazing times in testing with the 2009 rules this winter, as a fan he's still a benchmark in a way, the experience, speed and application, plus he's rested and had time out, and his best drives are still unmatched in my book. If we ever got to see his talent in a f1 season again, it would be more appreciated since he's retired, but if he doesn't come back, well the man raced 16 years, and had a good innings, and all good things come to a end eventually.
