Being a big fan of the Porsche 962, I noticed that many of the companies associated with Walter Brun's team in the late eighties started to appear on Joest Porsches from 1991.

I'm thinking of FAT Turbo Express, Momo, Torno and even Repsol for a Jarama race in 92

Possibly something to do with the Brun F1 project kicking off around the same time? Maybe there's another explanation...

Some sponsors came with the drivers:
Repsol: Jesus Pareya
Torno, Momo, plus Guffanti, Consonda, Sireg, Gaggia&more: Massimo Sigala
Hydro Aluminium: Harald Huysmans

They have really decal outline of every Brun 956/962. I buy some every year off a guy at Long Beach GP. I also see him at Daytona 24 Hours and other races.

Here are some I have:

Torno (1 IMSA & 2 Group C), Fortuna, Rial (Mass Norisring 87), Hydro Aluminium, Warsteiner, Schiesser (RIP Bellof), Blanchet Locatop, Lui & Takahashi. The one I really want is a Jagermeister one, especially the one Thierry Boutsen drove I think to the Spa 86 win.

Like someone else said a lot of sponsors came from the drivers. And, a lot were for one offs here and there, so it's possible that the following year they were seen on other cars. Another thing I noticed about teams that run Porsches they alway seem to lease cars out to each other and/or combine efforts, especially at big races like Le Mans.

Cheers!
