Fellow members,
I was looking at the report on the 1946 Nice GP at the forix.com website:
http://www.forix.com/8w/40s-nice.html
I came across the following reference to Henri Louveau's Maserati 6CM:
"He had purchased from the Treasury during the war an old Maserati 6CM, which was confiscated property..."
Who drove the car prior to it being confiscated?
What were the circumstances of the confiscation?
Where there any other racing cars confiscated by the Treasury? Were any other sold during World War 2?
Henri Louveau's Maserati 6CM

Fellow members,
Scrolling down the Forix article I see that the 6CM was the former Aitken, Gerard car, but in a public sale of confiscated goods. The car was confiscated because the French import papers were not in order.
I suppose I should read through the whole article beforer asking questions
