A blatant plug!

Not sure the viewpoint on items for sale, but as much of the info came from TNF and may be of interest to members,

Unfortunately, I have realised I don't have the time to dedicate to the project, so if I get the right offer, it's a great project for someone to take forward.

Not convinced the car in the lower 2 shots is the same "Mistron " ??????

The car in the lower two shots started life as a hillclimber at Harewood in the hands of Dennis Pegg (see below). Whether Pegg used Pandora as the basis of Mistron is something I cannot help you with. However the season prior to the photo below Pegg was driving a Lotus Eleven.

In its later guise the Pandora reminds me of another short-wheelbase A-Series engined hillclimb device. Straining the grey-matter I seem to remember it had a similar name ie Paola , anyone have recollections or photos ?

The Paola had a roof, or at least it did when I saw it at Harewood - it was actually entered as a "Paola GT". It was painted a kind of mucky mustard yellow in those days, and I thought it was a neat looking little thing, if obviously a bit "home made". The driver's name escapes me, but no doubt I could find it by looking at some old programmes. The car was quick and effective. I might be wrong, but I seem to remember it as having the entire Mini engine/transmission mounted in traditional transverse fashion (almost as if it was kind of Terrapin GT), or am I completely wrong here?

Spot on Ian! The Paola utilised the Mini engine and transmission installed at the back to drive the rear wheels.

Yup, they are the same car!

the various mods happened during John Suttons ownership of the car.

As it says on the site, he did appologise almost 40 years later!
