New Zealander Alfred James (Jim) Mullins died in Western Australia in 1992. He came to Western Australia in about 1969, and immediately went racing in a variety of cars - Cooper S, Torana XU-1, Charger Sports sedan, Porsche Carrerra, usually co-driving with fellow Kiwi Ray Thackwell.

He and Ray won the last two Six Hour races held in WA (1971 and 1972), and his racing career here is well documented. However, I don't have much on his NZ career, which I believe was fairly impressive, principally in touring cars. I'm working on my current book, Around the Raceway , and need basic material for a profile or mini-biog

If there is a New Zealand TNFer with any information which could fill in the NZ gaps? I believe his last race was in NZ in about 1972 or 1973.

You talking about me?
Email me with specifics (or PM if you've lost my email address)

That doesn't ring any bells - I thought he went to WA and stayed there

Hello. I think your email address is on my brother's PC in London.

I've sent a PM telling my sad tale.
